Dive Malta - Gozo - Comino with Subway Dive Centre - It's The Best Way...

        Back to Map

Scuba Diving in Malta is considered the best diving in the Mediterranean. The Maltese islands are blessed with warm temperatures, even in winter, clear, unpolluted seas, with visibility underwater in excess of thirty metres. Hundreds of kilometres of coastline, many of which are still unexplored, make the Maltese archipelago a favourite with adventurous divers.

Same as the West Reef and Um El Faroud Wreck, this  is a very popular divesite.

Entry can be made directly below the steps or further round to the East (Point) keeping in mind that exit from the latter is not possible.

At the start of this reef is a large ledge with depths from 9m to 16m, maximum depth to the seabed is 36m.  Moving away away from the reef the depth will increase, but this area is mostly sand and sea grass.

Visibility is excellent, with clear water up to 30 metres and over.  Usually large shoals of small fish can be seen on the reef.  Mostly, Damselfish, Red Mullet, Painted Combers, Scorpion Fish, Moray Eels, Cuttlefish, Wrasse, John Dory and the occasional Sea Horse.
